Marketing Manager

Job Summary

The Marketing Manager reports to the Chief Revenue Officer and is responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing plans that align with business objectives.  The Marketing Manager will oversee the department and will work collaboratively across all departments to build the Powell brand through classic and digital channels. 

Oversee the employees and daily workflow of the department.

Develop and implement a digital marketing plan that builds product and service awareness through social media (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube), paid search marketing (Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, YouTube Ads, etc.), blogs, and email marketing.

Continually create and place original website content that differentiates and is optimized with the proper use and blend of keywords so organic search results consistently rank at or near top.

Design and assist with internal video projects as necessary, including the production of in-house demos, social media posts, remote equipment training and commissioning, etc., as needed.

Build and categorize a library of high quality photo and video content for use in customized digital marketing campaigns.

Gather and analyze information to identify new marketing campaigns and strategies.

Maintain knowledge of trends and developments in the market to make recommendations on new products and services.

Compose, develop, evaluate, and conduct training on marketing activities, strategies, and policies.

Collaborate, participate in, and coordinate promotional activities or trade shows.

Negotiate contracts for services needed to execute a marketing strategy.

Occasional travel as required to participate in trade events, customer site visits, and prospect calls.


Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing or related field required, with at least 3 years of experience in a related field.

Extensive knowledge of marketing strategies, channels, and branding.

Knowledge of the structure and content of the desired language including meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Ability to create, implement, and monitor budgets.

Thorough understanding of principles and methods used to promote, display, and sell products and services.

Strong knowledge of digital analytics tools and techniques to gain greater insights into how sources find and respond to various messages, and areas needed to improve.

Indepth knowledge of WordPress and it’s plugin architecture and options required.

Proficient with graphics programs like Adobe’s InDesign, Illustrator, and PhotoShop required.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software required.
